Founded in 2009, our Mission is ‘To provide medical device solutions for the management of patient symptoms that have traditionally been managed pharmacologically.’ To support this Mission, SeaKa initially sought out and was appointed Canadian importer and distributor for The Gebauer Company‘s family of Patient Comfort Solutions™. Gebauer products (Gebauer’s Ethyl Chloride® Topical Anesthetic Skin Refrigerant, Gebauer’s Pain Ease® Topical Anesthetic, Gebauer’s Spray and Stretch® and Gebauer’s Instant Ice®) comprise a group of skin refrigerants typically used for fast acting, short duration pain management in a variety of acute care and physiotherapy procedures. For more information on these products please go to our website for Gebauer products in Canada.
In late 2011 SeaKa finalized details of a distribution agreement with electroCore LLC. Under the terms of this agreement SeaKa was appointed electroCore‘s exclusive Canadian importer and distributor for a range of current and selected future products. electroCore‘s Mission is to find new and better solutions to humanity’s healthcare challenges. With this in mind electroCore has developed innovative therapies that treat or prevent symptoms of serious headache conditions, including migraines and cluster headaches, and broncho-constriction including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Some of these products remain unavailable in Canada.
In August of 2012 electroCore received a Class II Medical Device License (MDL) for the gammaCore® non-invasive Vagus Nerve Stimulator (nVNS). Per the terms of the current MDL, the gammaCore device is intended for non-invasive stimulation of the vagus nerve in the neck. gammaCore is indicated for the acute and/or prophylactic treatment of cluster headache and for the treatment of migraines in adults.
All of our products are marketed to Canadian Health Care Professionals and are only available for sale to the patient or consumer on the written recommendation of a Physician. In the case of electroCore products, this must be a physician familiar with the devices including their intended use and treatment regimens that are indication specific.
SeaKa is located in the beautiful Oceanside Area of Vancouver Island between Qualicum Beach and Parksville.
SeaKa is constantly looking for products that support its mission to provide patients therapeutic alternatives to current standard of care.
